Rosemary and Carol,
I remember the open air lobby area when it was LeMeridian and I thought it was gorgeous. Sadly, I haven’t read or heard any rave reviews since it morphed and reopened as either Radisson or Secrets.
With regard to AI, while I’m not much of a fan, and particularly not a fan of buffets, we have done them on first-time trips to new destinations and usually ended up being happy with the decision. We did this at St. Kitts a long time ago, Bermuda - on our honeymoon, and yes - I can actually remember that far back - and the St. James Club in Antigua and each time we were glad we chose AI. But that said, we didn’t feel totally licked in and it also didn’t stop us from trying a few local spots on each island.
Respectfully,
pat
