I just got back from a week long trip to Tortola with my boyfriend. We stayed in Little Apple Bay at Manpot's place. I would highly recommend a rental over a resort property. The house was so peaceful and romantic. We saw the most amazing sunsets! I can't even begin to explain how amazing our experiences were. We met some great people, had delicious food and danced all night at Quito's. If you go to Quito's you have to hear him play!
I would recommend anyone who has not been to the island to check it out, but really get around the town, meet the people, eat at places you would never thought about eating before (they proved to be some of the best little places) and really experience it all. Don't just stay at your hotel/house. We had a great dinner at Coco Plums, and a famous cheeseburger at Stanley's (still craving one of those), bbq at the Elm. So great!
I would even recommend taking a day sail with Patouche. Not only was the staff very friendly, they were very knowledgeable and we had a great time snorkeling in all the spots they took us. Lunch at the Willy T was one of the best times...and jumping off was even better (although I didn't do it for a t-shirt). But as I promised Linda K, what happens on the Willy T stays on the Willy T. ahah...just remember how to say goodbye properly. (If you want to know what that means just ask Julie at Patouche). Anyway, I just had to share. I can't believe it has taken me this long to find such a great place. I know that "I go to come back", but I want to go back NOW!! Soon hopefully.
