We arrived a week ago yesterday and so far I’ve seen:
All the near islands, Saba, St Kitts, Nevis and Statia have become much more visible each day we’ve been here.
Today, for the first time since arriving we’ve seen minimal Sargassum wash up on our beach. I’m betting the groundskeepers here will be out early tomorrow raking the beach.
The waves have been very strong on our section of Simpson Bay Beach each day we’ve been here although they did calm down yesterday and we actually saw some brave souls in the water.
The streetlights on the road through Mullet Bay have been half lit on and off each night we’ve gone through it. And the lights on those monstrosities called Fourteen have been equally on and off from building to building.
The St. Maarteners are very solicitous of older and/or infirm individualism, much moreso than I’ve ever personally witnessed at home.
Respectfully,
pat
