Whole roasted chickens on the island are highly priced compared to your local grocery store or discount super store like Costco or BJ's
This past September at our Royal Islander welcome breakfast they served wonderful almond croissants from Zee Best where we hadn't been to for several years.
They were awesome and we have started going back as well as enjoying La Sucriere and Chez Fernand where you should try there pistachio cream green croissant
we did try their other "specialty" croissants which we didn't think we as good.
I know the easiest way from the lowlands is through Sandy Ground where we have actually been pleasantly surprised how it has been cleaned up and didn't feel as "shady" except for the crazy scooters on occasion
