They give you all the paperwork to fill out before you leave. We went through Customs in Virgin Gorda. Only one person has to go. He said there were three windows and you had to stop and be assessed at each. There was a boat fee, a per person fee and (my least favorite) a departure tax. He said it wasn't the same as he was quoted, but was less, so he didn't say anything. LOL.

On the way back, you are supposed to stop at Cruz Bay. Everyone has to get out, take off their shades and hat so they can get a good look at you. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" /> Not supposed to bring in any trash and you are supposed to pay the Port Authority a fee for the use of their lovely dock.

I really see why people are wanting to stay in the USVI for day trips. Both governments are making it difficult for everyone.
