First off see the pics here, I've added more of our crew. Http://www.universityphoto.com/bvi.htm
Wednesday-Flew in from Lawrence, 3 legs and no delays. Arrived about 6pm at Moorings base. See my charter report in charters. Not impressed with the Mooring. Forgive us, we were virgins. Got on our Moorings 372, great layout for 2 couples. No sheets but there was a bottle of pussers, so we curled up with that.
Thursday-took off about 11am, we were waiting on a video housing to be fedex'd to us. My diving buddy has a HD video camera. I hope to post some videos soon. By 1am back at base with clogged fuel filter. Got to the caves by 4pm. Snorkled a little and then headed to the Willie T. Forgot reservations, but we bought some drinks for people and got some food. Note the picture of the two feet. The left foot is much bigger that the right. This is due to trying to carry 4 heiny's for the dink ride home and he stepped between the dinghy dock and the willy-T. Jammed his knee between the two. Was a mess the whole rest of the trip. He did win the daily "having the most fun award" The first to bleed wins! We kept his joints well lubricated and he was fine.
Friday-Dove the rhone anchor to test the housing for leaks and just to get our feet wet. Man it was rough. We then hit the rhone itself between cattle boats, had the whole wreck to ourselves. We explored the bow. cool site. We had planned on Trellis for full moon but it was packed by 3pm. Went over to Marina Key and had great food at pussers.
Saturday-back down to cooper to dive chromis reef and the Inganess Bay. The Inganess was a good dive. We then hit Leverick for the evening to watch the Jayhawks play and Jumbies bar. However the satellite and CBS are very anti-Jayhawk so we only saw about 5 minutes of the game. That was 1 bushwacker per minute. We met some great folks who were staying in a house on anguilla point in north sound. They had an open mooring ball in front of their place. BONUS!
Sunday-We went to the baths and did the top. We then went into spanish town, yawn. Back to our free mooring and then dinner at leverick again.
Monday-The swells were letting up so we headed to Anegada. Stopped at the Chikusen and took a dive. Visability was not too good but incredible fish. Saw a bottlenose, sharks, and thousands of fish. Got to Anegada about 2pm, remember the props and slow boat we had. We went up to cow wreck. They had cleaned up pretty good, had some good drinks. Had dinner at heaven, I mean Neptunes.
Tuesday-weather was awful, rainy. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cloud.gif" alt="" /> We headed to Jost. Stopped at the spit. Could not find an anchorage we liked on Jost so we headed to Sopers and had a good dinner and easy night. Great sunrise pic, first one on show above.
Wednesday-We headed back to the Rhone for the stern, great visability. We then took the wives around the corner to Cistern Point and that is where I saw the turtle. I also took the wife down 15ft on my second regulator to get her an experience diving. She'd rather drink. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Cheers.gif" alt="" /> Spent the night at Coopers.
Thursday-headed in and turned in the boat.
Great trip, swells were bad, only two days of really good sun only two days of rain. We shall return. Thanks to you TTOL folks for the fine advice <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />
