Returned last week from 12 unbelievably relaxing, romantic and fun days at Peter Island Resort. Can't say enough fantastic things about both the resort and the BVI in general. Both are paradise and there's no way we could have picked a better place to Honeymoon.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we basked in PIRs beautiful grounds, incredibly friendly and accomodating staff, the seemingly endless breathtaking views, virtually deserted pristine beaches and fantastic food and drinks.

Every day we were essentially alone on all of the beaches. And when there were others it was so spread out we might as well have been alone.

The beauty of Deadmans Bay is exactly as described and White Bay isn't far behind. We spent an entire half day in absolute paradise comepletely alone on White Bay beach snorkeling in the pristine waters and lounging under the thatched huts.

We found the food to be excellent (both at Tradewinds and down at Deachmans Bar/Grill), particularly if you stick to the island dishes like Jerk Shrimp or coconut/banana, cinamon chicken type dishes. And the Sunday (or was it Saturday?) night buffet at Tradewinds was a mouthwatering feast.

Loved our room. We opted for an Oceanview up by the pool and couldn't have been happier. The beachfront rooms look spectacular but I think we'll likely stick to the Oceanview again on our next visit. The room was plenty large with a desk, a small CD player, a couple of lounging chairs/ottoman and an amply sized private deck with table/chairs and a cushioned lounger. All with a view out across the pool and over the channel to Tortola and the evening lights of Road Town. It doesn't get much better than that. Ample sized mini fridge in room as well as a good sized safe. It was pretty windy while we were there and the slats in the windows/doors offered a great breeze through the room. Best of all though? No TVs. I got nothin against the ol' tube but boy was it nice to get away from it from it for awhile. Didn't miss the lack of connection with the outside world for a second.

My wife visited the Sole Spa on Deadmans a couple of times for a massage and some kind of wrap thing and really enjoyed it. I actually did get a massage one day that was top notch.

From the natural beauty of the island itself, to the manicured grounds, to the staff, we think the place is a paradise.

Jeff the resort manager was incredibly friendly and always available if you needed anything. We had no complaints or problems but again felt that, during our stay he was more than available if the need had arisen. Benji and Jean (who are legendary on the island) were gracious hosts who make you feel like family and are an asset to the resort that couldn't possibly be valued. In fact, all of the staff were praiseworthy. Excellent representatives of the resort.

We highly recommend PIR and can't wait to get back. Though our immediate goal is to Charter with some freinds of ours next year. Which means I'll be looking for lots of good advice here in the future.

Happy to answer any questions anyone trying to decide on the resort may have.

As advertised, the BVI really are natures little secret. Can't wait to get back.
