Hi all

We are going to do a 3 day weekend in Savannah and then drive on down to St Augustine for 3 days. Have never been to either location. Wondering about good but affordable restaurants (no fine dining, casual please, just great food at a reasonable price) and would love some seafood. Local joints preferred over your usual chain restaurants. Also if any recommendations of must sees in a short period of time at both places. World Golf Hall of Fame is a must do for the spouse in St Augustine. Also is Sea Island worth stopping at on the way for lunch? Thanks in advance!!

I'd recommend stopping at Jekyll Island instead of Sea Island. Just over the bridge onto Jekyll you take a left to go to the Jekyll Island Club Hotel which is a former winter home to the likes of the Firestone's, Vanderbilt's, etc. Beautiful property and historic. There's a sea turtle rescue hospital on property you can tour. While there, walk down to the pier and have lunch at Latitude 31 for a real seafood treat. Often times you'll see shrimp boats unloading fresh caught shrimp right into the restaurant!
