We had to cancel our reservation at OBBR for next week due to a family health issue. Thanks to all who messaged us with words of encouragement. Glad to report granddaughter seems to be OK.
Interval has helped us reschedule for a week in December but at the Dawn Beach Club instead. Can anyone tell me about this place? We have stayed at OBBR for past six years and were happy there but perhaps it is good to be forced to check something else out.
We are told we are in a three bedroom condo. Seems like a generous exchange for our one bedroom. What is the difference between the Westin Dawn Beach Hotel and the Dawn Beach Club? Are they on the same property?
Grateful for your help.

Yes they are on the same property in separate buildings. The beach club is -vacation ownership so to speak, use to be SVO until Starwood sold that part of the business.
Both are on the same property although the Dawn Beach Club area are in separate buildings to the left depending on where you are standing on the property, behind the "hotel" part of the buildings.
We've stayed at the hotel 5 times and like the facility. It's what you'd expect from a resort as far as amenities and service. Great pools and lots of cabanas for rent around the pool and beach. The restaurant is very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have some themed nights. Casino is small and club "disco" has always been closed when we were there. Staff is friendly.
Beach is OK in front of resort, not the best but it's swimmable and there is beach service.
If you have any other questions as it relates to the amenities, parking, etc please send me a private message.

Don't know anything about the property itself, but it might be a good opportunity to invite some family along to celebrate the new grandchild? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Smile.gif" alt="" />
