I am new to TTOL and have noticed in several postings that there are discounts offered to TTOL members from various places in the BVI's. If there is a past link listing the offers please let me know. If not, any information would be appreciated. We will be chartering March 2-9 2017 with BVI Yacht Charters. I recall there was a drink coupon book available years ago but nothing to do with TTOL.

The coupon book is The Drinking Man's Guide to the BVI. The most frequently referred to "discount" would be the deal Nick@ Leverick Bay offers...slip for the price of a mooring ball if available. You also get a bag of ice and (100gal?) of water either way. Scrub seems to do some also...once in a while.

Not so much of a benefit anymore as my travels are less, but TTOL members that found me at bar would get the honor of buying me a beer. In return I would fill your head with nonsense stories from the good ol' days.

The Drinking Man's Guide has 2 for 1 drink specials at certain places. You have to bring the book with you for each location. Sometimes it's a great drink special - 2 for 1 painkiller - and sometimes it's a drink that's quite literally hard to finish. The Guide is more of a game for us :-)

Actually thinking of having tee shirts made up - "I bought Mike Kneafsey a beer!" Need to have a ton of 'em printed.

Best deals are Leverick and Scrub. We used to only really spend time at Leverick, but with a little one now, the pool and water slide at Scrub is a big plus. So we spend time at both. With the TTOL deal at Scrub, it's quite reasonable, especially for what you get. Everything else there is more expensive though - food, drinks, trash..etc.

You got a deal at Scub? Checking their website the current rate for a vessel less than 50 ft. is $6.00/ft, Dec. 18-Jan 7. What kind of deals are they offering?

TTOL deal we got was $1.50 a foot. I'm not sure they'll offer that in the high season though. Might depend on how busy they are.

Thank you. I saw the low season rate was $2.00/ft so you got a nice TTOL discount.

Thanks everyone. Too bad there is no TTOL Gold Card, unless you mean your American Express. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to mention TTOL wherever you go and see what happens.

I think the biggest benefit are the friends you make on this board and eventually meet in person, priceless!
