TipW ane I were talking a while ago and Tip sought me out on the the Club 'O beach yesterday, and brought me some of his Award Winning BBQ Dry Rub...

FANTASTIC, from just tasting it on my finger... a really unique taste and we can't wait to get it home and make some ribs! I guarantee most have never had anything like this!

You can contact Tip at tip@mtnhome.com ...
or PM TipW here on TTOL...
I'll definately be getting more, cause I don't see this jar lasting long at all!

Thank you TIP!

Who is Tip W and does he make this dry rub? Sounds tantalizing! We all need to taste it! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

I just dry rubbed a small pork tenderloin (bone-in, four ribs) with Tip's BBQ Rub for dinner tonight...
I'll let it sit all day in the fridge...

Islandgem,

I came up to you at Club-O and introduced myself to you in April this year. I asked you if I had seen your face on Traveltalkonline.

Brian, thanks for the kind words and the plug. p.s. you can just about duplicate Andy's margarita shrimp with it.

Tip, I remember someone asking me that question, but I don't think you gave your name. You just asked the question and I said "Yes". We were sitting with friends and we also introduced you to my husband. Perhaps next time we can have a longer chat. Thanks for stopping by. The dry rub sounds great!

Tip, can you give us an idea of what you recommend using your dry rub on? We're not big red meat eaters. Would it be good on chicken or pork?

Georgia, I can attest...
Tip's Rub is great on burgers, beef steaks, pork and chicken! also is great on sweet onion slices (marinated for 24 hours), then grilled...
I have used it on all now!
It's a unique flavor, and definately AWARD WINNING!
I have yet to try it on fish though! I think it would be really good on shrimps though...

georgia,
yes, i use it on chicken and pork, especially baby back ribs and grilled pork chops. one of my favorites is chicken wings
cooked with indirect heat on the grill. they take longer with indirect heat but they're worth it. tip

Tip, mine arrived today (fantastic service, btw!), but unfortunately we had the threat of thunderstorms this evening so I was forced to cook indoors tonight. Thanks so much for the recipes and tips (pun intended) for usage that you included. I tasted a dab, and the residual heat is quite nice, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it! Maybe the weather will hold tomorrow...

we're making chicken thighs tonite... on the grill...
They've been marinading in Tip's for about 4 hours now...
Going to do them over indirect heat... slow and low...
also making potato & veggie foil packets to go with...
Potatos, onions, zucchini, yellow squash and red & green peppers...
