Let's get ready for this weekend's Preakness Stakes Race (2nd jewel of the triple crown of horse racing) with a recipe for Black Eyed Susan cocktails! The black eyed susan is the official state flower of Maryland and the drink to sip (gulp?) at the race, held outside of Baltimore. Here's our version, any variations? This makes a big batch, we sometimes prepare gallon jugs of this nectar if we are not going to the race and hosting a large party at home. The below batch serves 10-12 drinks.

1 - 1/4 cup vodka
1 - 1/4 cup light rum
3/4 cup triple sec (some people substitute Cointreau)
4 cups pineapple juice
4 cups orange juice
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
