We went for just one week this time and did an Instant Escape thru RCI and got Royal Islander. (We own there in November and love this place). The building is going up at a fairly fast pace across the street, but the noise was not bad at all. Air France is now flying a regular jet in, so Corsair is the big one to watch these days.

Cupecoy was fuller at the beginning of the week, but there was still plenty of sand when we left. The weather was mostly cloudy and COLD this past week. Yes, I said COLD. I bought a sweatshirt by mid week. You didn't need the AC on at all. Night time went down to 65 but windy.

We found that the owners of Messalinas opened the Globe restaurant next to the Boat House. It's menu is more extensive than it used to be. Where Messalinas was is a new restaurant called Cot'e Provencale. We tried it and it was good.

Over at Orient, where the sign stands on the beach at the beginning of C.O., the sand now drops down about 4 feet due to the erosion. During the week many of the C.O. folks were at Cupecoy, due to the extreme winds. Cupecoy, on the other hand, had such strong waves it was tough going in.

We finally meet Contessa!! Very nice lady. We all had lunch at Andy and Cheryl's, and the food was just as great as it always is.

Used Alain Arnell again, and pleased as usual with the car.

Even though this wasn't one of our better weather trips, we still had a great time. You can never go wrong staying in SXM.

Pauline
