Any updates on the status of the mooring field in "the creek" in front of The Fat Virgin.
Thanks

In early December a few mooring balls had what looked to be long-term tenants tied up to them, but the majority had their pennants cut off. I was in North Sound last week but didn't make it over to that corner to check for updates.

If you take a mooring near the Fat Virgin remember that Biras Creek is now closed. Access is forbidden and marked plainly with many signs.

The docks at Biras Creek are in long term use but there is no where to go, other than to the Fat Virgin.

The trail from the Bitter End to Biras Creek (Mangrove Trail) is also closed at the Bitter End and is marked closed at the Biras Creek end.

Guy's Trail at the Bitter End is open with a sign at the top saying the trail down to Biras Creek is closed (that trail is getting overgrown as is the Mangrove Trail).

The roads and trails going to and around Oil Nut Bay are still spectacular though <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

They had to run an electric cable on the trail over to the bitter end. Story goes that a mega yacht at YCS anchored on the UG cable. this was per the folks at Fat virgin back in Jan. IF you look from your boat you can see the cable on the trail.

They removed the entire electrical cable (that went to Biras Creek) and transformer box that was near the Bitter End Resort 3 weeks ago (February 4th). There is nothing left of the equipment on the entire Mangrove Trail now.

so sad...always loved those trails and exploring the Biras creek resort and walking the beautiful paths and visiting the horses. ....

I think this would be exactly the kind of updated information Mark would want and we all could benefit from on the new website...
