Friday - Drive from CT to Wyndham Garden Hotel – EWR ($99.00 + tax – 14 days free parking included) – Decent restaurant at the hotel
Saturday – 9 am flight (Continental) to SXM – on time.
We decided to satisfy sand gravity this year so every day was basically the same (beach / water time @ Belair.
Breakfast each day consisted a run to La Sucriere for a baguette and / or croissant which we ate on the deck @ Belair.
Lunches:
Chesterfields - twice (great hurricane shrimp), BBB (great burgers), Greenhouse in Philipsburg, Karacter, Holland House
Dinners:
Sopranos, Greenhouse (Simpson Bay), Thai Savanh’ (in the Atlantis complex), Gingerbread @ Belair, Toppers by the sea on Thursday to see Chicago. They don’t serve Brisket on show night so we went back on Friday for the Brisket.
Saturday (24th) 1:10 pm flight to EWR – on time
Overview:
Flights both ways were on time (smooth sailing)
Corolla from Unity – Great service as always!
Check in / out @ Belair – quick & friendly
Phone from the “Queen” – good service again.
Traffic on the Island was not a problem – seemed lighter than past years
Toured Porto Cupecoy condos - Nice
The only negative was the traffic from EWR to CT on the return 4 ½ hours for what should take 2 ½ hours (Thanks GWB & Toll booths!)
We are already looking forward to next April!
