We have extended our next trip from 7 to 10 days, which means we will now be bareboating during the Poker Run. Trying to figure out the stops/route of the Poker Run so we can "plan" our tentative itinerary accordingly. When I review the official web page the map and the listed stops are in conflict. http://www.pokerrunbvi.com/therun.phpAccording to the map the route makes a CCW loop around Tortola. The stops in order are Trellis Bay, JVD, Soper's Hole, Norman, Tortolla and then back to LBM. The listed stops on the detailed agenda is Harbour View, Sopers Hole, Norman, VGYH and then LBM. This would be a shorter route and would entail a CCW loop around the SFDC. Does anyone know which of the two lists of stops/route are correct? Also am I correct to assume we shoud avoid north sound Sunday 5/29. We had been planning to overnight at either Saba Rock or BEYC.

Your first listed route is the correct one. It is relatively easy to avoid the Poker Run if you want to. You can also plan to be in the North Sound on Saturday, 5/27 and plan to be over by Saba or Bitter End so you can watch some of the craziness from afar! Or....get up early and head to Anegada...the actual day of the Run is the craziest.

Sorry stimco, we updated the map (which is right) and missed updating below. Be with us on Sunday morning to watch the boats come in, and then in the afternoon for the big party. Any questions email me nick@surfbvi.com

Thanks for the update Nick. Looks like a lot of fun, just don't want to get caught if the path of 200+ power boats. About what time do you expect them to start arriving back in North Sound Sunday afternoon?

stlmco...Surly you've been to Lake of the Ozarks. North Sound on Sunday afternoon can't be any worse, can it? PS. I grew up near MCO and now live near SGF. Welcome to TTOL. Enjoy!
