As promised, my trip report.

Day 1, April 20th, traveling day. Got up at 3 AM, everyone arrived at my house by 5 am, the airport shuttle picked us up at 5:20 and got us to Logan Airport before 6 am. I was impressed with airport security. There were plenty of check points, can’t remember how many, but they were thorough. Flight departed on time and we arrived in St. Thomas around 1 PM. Got on the 3:30 ferry to Virgin Gorda. The seas were a bit rough, but it was fun. We had inclement weather (was like riding a horse) but no one minded. Customs in Tortola was quick and we were off to VG! Arrived at the ferry around 5:30, our “Tropical Limo” was waiting for us. We drove to Sandcastle Villa on Mahoe Bay (the views from the road were breathtaking) (it’s amazing to me that the “TL” was able to haul all 8 of us and our luggage but we had no problem at all) and Chef Steph was waiting for us with an incredible dinner. The villa was more than we expected! We were all in awe. I can’t say enough about Mahoe Bay. It’s hard to say what was more beautiful, the villas or the beach. Anyway, I opened the bar [Linked Image] (I arraigned to have Chef Steph provision the villa with both food and liquor), made Bushwackers and we were on our way. We checked the place out, and what an incredible place! My husband commented that he thought we would never find anything as beautiful as Sandcastle Resort on JVD, but we did. We all did some swimming and quenching of our thirst then sat down to Fillet Minion and broiled Mahi mahi, and all the fixings. Unfortunately, I only had one bite of each when the bushwackers had there way with me. I wouldn’t have minded, but that was only after 2 drinks. My husband had to walk me to our room (good Lord!) [Linked Image] with my brother following us with the video camera (don’t you love siblings). From what I hear, everyone enjoyed dinner tremendously. to be continued.................
