Heading down tomorrow. Will be there until April 7. Look for a Tea Party flag on a Moorings 4000.

Great Walker,

Been a couple of years since we talked with you and Bell. Always good to see your flags flying as we drive up!

April 7th - Staying at Rymers CGB
April 8th - Staying at Rymers CGB
April 9th - Going to JVD for the day, then back to Rymers
April 10th - Staying at Rymers CGB

Come help me celebrate my birthday!

Not sure from here, we turn the boat back in on April 21st, going to Anegada in there sometime.

Yep.
I have a crew of 20 aboard two boats. I'll be sailin' "Jus' Chillin" (Voyage 600) and my buddy Happ is captaining the other, "Summer Breez" (Voyage 520).

Tentative Schedule:
8th: arrive Soper's Voyage base, sleep aboard
9th: Bight / Willy T.
10th: Leverick via Baths or Dogs
11th: North Sound / Saba, Sandcastle, BEYC area
12th: Anegada
13th: JVD area via fishing the north drop
14th: JVD area
15th: back to base early for flights home

I believe my TTOL flag gave up the ghost on the last charter - it frayed apart beyond all use. However, look for the piratefish flag (my avatar) on the port spreader

We are there April 2-12 on Outback from Captains Compass. We have no real itinerary! We will just figure it out day by day...

Julie (CottageGirl) ... If we could provide the functionality on bvimariner.com so that people could enter their location (long/lat), vessel name, etc. after mooring/docking for the evening and this was made available to fellow mariners, would you find this useful? As our stated goal is to provide accurate and easy to access data that is useful for those crusing the BVI, I think this makes sense ... i.e. knowing where fellow BVI Mariners are moored nearby can be helpful in the case assitance is needed (e.g. dinghy outboard having issues, ran out of marguerita salt, etc.). Thoughts? Thanks - Mark

We are land based Tortola (4/19) and East End of Jost (4/20-26). If you are headed to Diamond Cay, Foxy's Taboo, or B-Line be sure to give us a wave as you pass Hideaway Villa on Sandy Ground Estates.

Gonna need to make a list of boats and people as suggested by Cottage Girl!

Mark, I think that's a great idea!
Active Captain does that - but on a much larger scale - I think it's worldwide. I haven't used it yet - just discovered it late last year - and we don't know very many other great lakes boaters. But, you might take a look at their platform to see if it can be useful in the bvimariner.com application.

I am amazed at all these itemized schedules. Wow! Is there any leeway for bad weather? Just curious.

I have a schedule. I'll stick to it if I can. If I can't, I'm familiar enough with the BVIs to find an alternate place (or just stay put). That alternate place would depend on the type of inclement weather (would a downhill run be possible?), where we are, what day of the week is it (e.g. is it getting close to the end of the charter, etc.). There are as many variables in there as there are alternate places to go... so, to avoid you having to read the 15 possible bailout places for each day/scenario, I've simply posted our intentions

We have a great time planning our route, but, not to worry,
Pretty much assumed all schedules in BVI are Tentative.

We do have reservations at Leverick however.

I will be down from 11 to 18 Apr on a Moorings 4800 named Two Ghosts. 6 adults and a pair of 6 year old girls always looking for other kids to play with!

Are you chartering directly with the owner (or are you the owner)? I didn't realize Moorings gave you the name of the boat you will be on before arrival. We will also be on a Moorings 4800 starting May 27. Let me know if your boat has any quirks when you return in case we get her.

Thanks and have fun!

It's partly my boat. I own the starboard hull! No quirks I am aware of. It is licensed to fish unlike most Moorings boats.
