What happened after this flight was diverted? What about the people waiting to return from SXM?

From what I have been able to find out, AA 1753 on 4/16/17 was diverted to SJU and landed there at 3:16 pm. The plan was for AA 1753 to leave SJU at 4 pm, but the flight ended up getting cancelled. Both AA 866 and 868 from SXM to CLT were cancelled on 4/16/2017. AA 866 on 4/17/2017 was supposed to go from SXM to CLT, but diverted to SJU. AA 866 departed SJU at 4:11 pm today and is heading to CLT. AA 868 left on time today from SXM and is headed to CLT. Not sure what ever happened to passengers on AA 1753 from Sunday.
