Just returned from our 3rd visit to DSR and it was our best yet. We arrived early and our particular room was not ready but Michael, the manager, found us another room and we were able to check in and start enjoying the sunshine. (We were also granted a late checkout which was much appreciated as we had an evening flight home.) I must say the front desk was extremely accomodating in every way. They really have the customer service thing nailed.
The resort grounds were immaculate as ever. The staff sure does a great job of keeping the place pristine. The weather was hot during the day and warm in the evenings- just how we like it.
We arrived on a Thurday and it was not too crowded. We spent most of the day at the quiet pool and there were just a few other couples there. We briefly met some of them and everyone was quite nice. On Friday several more guests arriced and I'd say the resort was about 50% full, with quite a few day visitors. Glad to see more guests arriving. We have never been there on a Friday or Saturday so it was much fuller then we were use to. Even the quiet pool started to get a little crowded. But no problem as we walked up to the villa pool and had it pretty much to ourselves. We prefer the peace and quiet. The acitivity pool was just that-active both Friday and Saturday. Lots of volleyball and conversation.
We really enjoy sitting at the table on the balcony in the evenings, sipping our favorite cocktail and enjoying the view of the resort and the mountains. Also enjoy the late night stroll around the grounds as well.
DSR is just right for us. Peace and quiet, rest and relaxation, all without having to wear clothes. And I must add that everyone was very friendly and respectful. No issues there.
