Here is my rip report from last month's cruise. please excuse the length.

7/19 After paying way too much for the short taxi ride from STT Airport to the Ferry dock in Charlotte Amalie (they actually charge for the bags couple with the airlines charges – next time NO BAGS), we (wife, 2 kids, brother and his son) took the Fast Ferry to RT. We boarded our Lagoon 380 Catamaran at the Catamaran Co. and Village Cay Marina after a short walk from the ferry dock. We settled in got familiar with boat and completed our provision at Bobbys.
7/20 We completed our Boat and Chart briefings but decided to remain at the base due to the bad weather (rain, winds, thunder, lightening and small craft advisory) compliments of the tropical wave in the area. Our original itenary was to sail to Marina Cay, then North Sound for a couple days (leverick bay, bitter end, Baths), Anegada, Jost (Little Hbr, Great Hbr, White Bay), St John, West End, Norman Is, RT. We decided to make it a game day playing cards etc. We scraped the itenary and just went with the flow
7/21 It was an overcast day but looking a lot better so we decided to sail to Jost Van Dyke (Great Hbr). It was my 1st time sailing a Catamaran, and I was impress how the boat handled. We pick a mooring at Foxy’s eat lunch on board and dance the night away at Foxy’s. It was a good night.
7/22 We spent the morning shooting the breeze with Foxy ( what a knowledgeable man) and also went to immigration to checkout for our trip to St John. We motored over to White Bay pick up the last mooring and enjoyed the beach and painkillers at Soggy Dollar (by the way leverick bay and foxy’s win the p killer contest hands down). We dingy back to the boat in a wind and rainsquall. We used that opportunity to save some water by bathing on deck in the stinging rain (it was fun).
7/23 We left Jost for a reach to Cruz Bay, SJ. Anchored and check into immigration, then did some shopping in Cruz Bay (lovely town). We later motor sailed to Cinnamon Bay, checked it out but it was too rolly so we motored over to Maho bay. This was the best anchorage of our trip. The beach was very calm, the moon was out that night. It was a serene picture perfect night.
7/24 Sailed to West End to check into BVI immigration. wife did some shopping at Soper’s Hole . We then had a long tiring motor sail (mostly motor) to Leverick Bay, in time for the Christmas in July celebration. The place was fill with PR Power boaters and the party was good
7/25 Rented a car from Leverick bay and explored the VG; the Baths, Devels bay, Spanish town, had dinner at the Dockside Marina. We topped it of with a great time at the Spanish Town marina, with a live band playing; good music, drinks etc. It was good to get off the boat and do some land stuff.
7/26 Topped off the water tanks at Leverick and head out for a wonderful sail to Anegada. Thanks Walker, your Anegada charts were dead on. After checking out the other restaurants, we made reservation for our lobster dinner at the Anegada Reef Hotel and took a taxi to loblolly for some spectacular snorkeling coupled with a few drinks at Bamboo bar (great price).
The lobster at the reef hotel was something to die for, it was very tasty.
7/27 Had a long relaxing sail to Cane Garden Bay. There was nothing going on at CGB that evening so we just enjoyed the tranquility of the beach.
7/28 Left CGB about noon and sailed back to RT. Time was on our side so we did some tacking from the mainland to STJ, Norman, and Peter on our way to RT, while the steak was on the grill.

7/29 Checked out that morning and retraced our back to the USA while thinking about planning next years. The count down starts …..365, 364, 363…. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
