We had a nice party with friends here on Anegada tonight. Dinner was fresh grilled marlin - courtesy of Dean Soares.

Sadly, the party was a going-away party for Laura and Andy Wittman and for Alex Warren. Laura, out island nurse for the last 8 months, has truly been a gift from heaven. They love it here and the entire island loves having them here, but other considerations unfortunately take them away from us. With any luck, the future will bring Laura and Andy back.

Needless to say, Cow Wreck will never be the same without Alex, who is off to Texas. We will really miss Alex here - have known him since he moved to Anegada 10 years ago, and he is like a son to us. The good part of this is that Alex and I will get to spend some time fishing together in Texas.
