I want to thank all the TTOL members and sponsors for your suggestions! We had a Moorings 474 Powercat, enabling us to cover a lot in a short period of time. Even though we encountered the Saraha dust haze, some rain, mosquitos, and one crew member with a broken toe, we still had a blast! Here's the itinerary:
Saturday - Norman Island and the Bight, Sunday - Indians for snorkeling and headed for Peter Island . Got a slip at the Marina and spent afternoon at the beach and great dinner at the Bar and Grill. Monday - Cooper Island Beach Club for lunch. Chicken Roti with homemade Mango Salsa was awesome! Fun place to hang out - ring toss, dart board, hammocks, great view! On to the Baths to explore the caves and take some photos. Continued to Spanish Town and took a slip at the Marina. Replenished provisions and had dinner at The Rock. Italian food was great and piano bar was fun! Tuesday - Rhone wreck dive on Sea Monkey with BVI Divers (saw Fred & Fang and "Lobzilla"). Rented taxi for brief island tour and visited Little Dix Bay and the Copper Mine. Headed for Leverick Bay and met Nick R, who was cleaning up after the Poker Run. Barely missed meeting Capt Rick, who had just left! Nick took care of us with all the TTOL perks! Took the water taxi to Biras Creek for dinner. Beautiful place and what views! Dinner was expensive, but delicious! Wednesday – Left for Anegada. Lots of haze and clouds that day, but no rain! Had drinks at Cow Wreck and lunch at Big Bamboo – great lobster and Mahi sandwiches. Left for Scrub Island and got a slip at the beautiful Marina. Everyone here was great ! Joe, Karen, Curt, Ronald! They provided a room for us to shower and it was first class! Swim-up bar was closed, but we enjoyed rum drinks in the infinity pool, the hot tub, and under the water fall! Had an awesome dinner in the restaurant too. Thursday – Quick trip to Bitter End, Saba Rock (too brief!), then headed to CGB. Got a mooring and jumped in the water. Walked the beach and had great dinner at Myetts. Friday - Left for Jost Van Dyke and White Bay. No mooring balls, so had to anchor. Lots of boats and beach was packed. Spent the day bar hopping and had lunch at Soggy Dollar. One of our crew brought along a bikini-clad blow up doll, which certainly was a conversation piece, but she took a beating from the trip was totally wiped out by the end of the week (as were we!) It was great and we can’t wait for the next time!
