The surge and rain projections are terrible for the VI and BVI, thinking of everyone's safety.

A report from Cruz Bay on St John (from FB) says "Sirenusa (a condo complex in Cruz Bay) is safe and ok and that the worst of the storm has passed. They are still seeing what they think are 60 mph winds and still have another what looks like 6 or 8 hours to go before the hurricane conditions have completely moved on. "There's an awful lot of destruction visible even now....from the little he could see in the area around them, a lot of homes and buildings had roofs torn completely off" The Leewards as a whole have taken a massive hit...but it seems like the stout construction and plenty of planning have spared the most precious cargo...we humans. Which is a blessing. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1850511531842592/
