THIS IS NOT MY TRIP REPORT JUST A QUICK UPDATE.
Arrived Monday on JetBlue (great airline) and plane was 1/4 empty.
Rented car from Jimmy at Leisure Car Rental. Jimmy was there walked outside twenty feet signed papers and three minutes later on my way.
Divi- Place is great but the turn in coming from airport is funny to say the least. Those who know it will understand. NEVER saw anything like it. Place is probably more then half empty.
Grande Marche - just like good markets at home. Food not much more if at all then NYC. Divi owners get a 5% off.
Food- So far pizza at the Divi for the $10.00 pie more then enough, Chesterfields, very good fish. Greenhouse Simpsson Bay best hamburger I have had in a long time.
Breakfast and lunch in the room thanks to Grande Marche.
Weather- So far not a complete sunny day. Cloudy all day, very humid and NO breeze. No rain yet during the day but rain woke me up the other night.
People - Very friendly. Remember, you get what you give.
Action - Not that I am an expert BUT the island seems empty of tourists. Locals say it is very slow even for this time of year. As we drove along Simpson Bay last night all except Pineapple Petes was maybe 1/3 full of diners.
Got to go and walk off/sweat off my Dutch friend (Ketel One) who spends a LOT of time with me since I landed here
