My wife and I own a condo at Porto Cupecoy, though we live in the Boston area. We haven't yet heard from our property manager or the resident manager of Porto Cupecoy. Presumably they still don't have power.
My wife was a professor at the AUC medical school until last year. The med school has evacuated to Chicago, for perhaps a year. My wife communicated with two of her former colleagues who were living in Porto Cupecoy. One of them wrote, "the only two places that did ok were the school and Porto Cupecoy..minimal damage". Her other colleague wrote: "Porto did ok Victor and the crew were outstanding our apt got water damage and the storage room on the right side of the porch the door got blown completely off like it was feather. Victor told me about 7 roofs were gone which isn't bad bldg 6 being 1 of them. The owner of the 7th flr lost her apartment and you know our neighbors below they have a beautiful 3 bdrm on the A side and they completely lost the master bdrm the master bathroom and their little girls room the wall was coming down."
My wife and I live in St. Maarten during the winter and in the Boston area the rest of the year.
