Our own superstar dog, Storie, who has appeared several times on TV, along with her pet parents, JD and Ronalee (ruralcarrier here on TTOL) will again be competing tomorrow in the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge National Championship in Missouri, in the dock diving competition. Good luck, JD, Storie and Ronalee!! You go, Storie!!
As of now, I don't know if there is a livestream of the competition. If I find out there is one, I will post here.

Thanks for the mention and support. We appreciate it. No live stream that I am aware of. It has not worked well the past few times they have tried it. Storie is the 2nd oldest dog in the competition and is still a force to be reckoned with.

She came in SECOND!!!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> Such a great accomplishment to come in second in the nationals, as she was I think the second oldest dog to compete in diving dog!!
CONGRATS, JD, Storie and Ronalee! Well deserved!!
I'm not exactly sure when it is, but next week, Storie is due to appear on national TV again on Fox, for a demonstration. I think it's on Friday, but will post later, so everyone will have the ability to see her live!

So very happy for all the winners, but particularly so for Storie and the McKnights. Good to see something nice happen, and if I'm not mistaken, they were walk-on qualifiers to participate in the first place.
  How cool is that?! Good job, everyone!! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Thanks everyone, very happy for the old girl! Yes pat, we walked on (as did the winning dog) and made the big jump on our first of 3 jumps. Her distance of 31'10" was her 2nd biggest PPIDC jump ever.
This will be televised nationally in later January on NBC I believe.

JD--I was trying to remember, you have never placed that high in the Purina Incredible Dog National Challenge? Saw that Prospect placed 4th..

Storie had never finished lower than 4th at any PPIDC event and has won a regional in both distance and Fetch-IT. As far as the National Championship, 3rd, 3rd, 4th and 2nd this year in her 4 years of competing.
Prospect lost 3rd by just 1" and between Prospect, Detox and Storie, the 3 smallest (by length) in the field. This means they outjumped the bigger dogs by 2' or so to the tail.

Congrats again to Storie! Sorry that Prospect didn't place, as I liked them.. A great finale to Storie's career at Purina Incredible Dog Challenge!

She is 7 and probably towards the end of her big jumping days. We will see how it goes but at some point age will catch up with the big jumps. Realistically, we figured this was her last legitimate shot at an event with dogs of this caliber. Overall, probably the biggest jumping field we have ever competed with.

Kamehameha said: Is this anywhere on YOU TUBE maybe? Not on YouTube but there are some videos people took that are on my facebook page. The event was filmed and will be broadcast nationally in late January. The Fox and Friends will be this Saturday, Oct. 7 from 6:00am-10:00am. We will likely be jumping (with 14 other dogs) all morning and they will cut to the dogs as time allows and supposedly during each hour. A lot will depend on other news happening as to the amount of time the dogs get. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts.

Sadly, the event on Fox has been cancelled. They felt it was not appropriate with what just happened in Las Vegas.
It may possibly be rescheduled for mid-November or sometime next year.
