Hello, does anyone know if the links on this page are reputable and the money donated would be going specifically to help BVI communities. https://www.bviirmarelief.org/donate-moneyI am donating bi-weekly to different places. It is confusing sometimes as to where the money is actually going. Or would it be better to donate directly to establishments/persons that have gofundme accounts? Thank you.

Im a big fan of Samaritans Purse and Cargo of Hope, both who were on the ground in the BVI before the hurricanes hit. Im not sure if you can designate money to a certain area, but it looks like on the website you can. I trust Mark with bvimariner.com too. Good luck <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

CaptainJay said:http://visar.org/hurricane-irma-update/These guys never stopped. I was in VG and Nanny Cay few days after the first storm. They where the closest thing to government support that I saw. Jay, Without a doubt VISAR is the best thing going for the BVI. VISAR has been saving the life's of many and have always been on call for decades.

If they're really in need of outside help the U.K. Would be there with assistance. I am consistently amazed at your pretense and lack of knowledge.

It's unfortunate that some have used this thread to call others names, so will close it here.
Regardless, the only thing that you can do is to do your due diligence and attempt to investigate where your money is going. Donating money to a gofundme account is a crap shoot IF you don't have any personal knowledge of the individuals involved. Gofundme does ZERO investigation of the people behind the funds and they have zero control over where the money goes. Plus Gofundme gets a healthy percentage on all donations. Otherwise, more established organizations like the Red Cross, VISAR, etc., might be a safer bet.
