Bill and Elaine are exactly correct. The bubble atop the control tower houses an ASR (Airport Surveilance Radar) on top of the glassed control tower. Inside the radome (the white "ball") is a rotating S-band radar antenna with an L-band ATCRBS (Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System) interrogator/receiver flat faced array mounted above it, all under the dome.
