Our son is planning on spending a few days in the USVI after our BVI based bareboat charter, exploring the national park and beaches on St. John. We're wondering what options for lodging for a single person may be available in July, preferably on St. John but the east end of St. Thomas will work as well. We've stayed at Secret Harbour before which I gather is planning to reopen shortly so that is one option.

I've had many enjoyable stays at Grande Bay Resort in Cruz Bay. I just checked VRBO and there look to be ~20 one bedroom units for rent, with 10 or so requiring just 3 day minimums. Prices range from $250~$400/nt plus tax and possibly a cleaning fee.

Right now its hard to predict what will be open in July as repairs are ongoing. We have stayed on STJ post charter many times. The St John Inn and The Inn at Tamarind Court both do one night stays. Both are in Cruz Bay within walking distance of the ferry.

AirBnB and Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel is the best option for short-term single. The St John Inn and The Inn at Tamarind Court were both badly damaged and are closed. AirBnB has options from rustic to 5-star, some floating.
