[color:blue]Hi All,

Just thought I'd let you know, I went to the launch of NCL's newest ship on Friday and it was fantastic.

The ship itself has 11 decks, is 964 feet long, 91,740 gross tonnage and carries a maximum of 2,224 passengers.

This particular ship is the very first ship designed to be freestyle cruising, which I think is a really great idea. There is a choice of 10 restaurants on board, from AQUA, traditional Al La Carte, to Bamboo, which is Asian, and virtually everything in between.

I'll start at the top and work my way down for you.

Deck 14
Basketball/Volley ball court.
The Garden Villas, which consist of 3 bedrooms, 1 with a jacuzzi bath and king size bed and all have ensuite facilities. Lounge area with some really retro seating and a grand piano. A kitchen area with fridge and microwave, and a private sun terrace with hot tub.
Bimini bar and grill, can't really comment on this as we didn't go into it.

Deck 13
Jogging Track, Hot Tub, Golf driving net, Cagneys Steak House - Great Steaks, Kids centre and teen club.

Deck 12
T-Rex kids pool, Fitness Centre - Didn't see it, Juice Bar, Garden cafe, Great fry ups for breakfast, Kids cafe, this even has child sized tables and chairs., La Trattoria, italian Rest. Hot Tubs x 2 Library, good selection, accommodates all interests, cinema, approx 100 seats I think. Meeting rooms, Card room, chapel and spinnaker lounge, this was a really great bar, really way out retro style seating, and a dance floor.

Deck 11
Reading/writing room, El dorado spa and beauty centre, I didn't see this but was told it is 1 of the biggest on any cruise ship. There is also the start of the mani cabins, with the penthouse suites, absolutly stunning, king size bed, walk in closet and en suite facilities- a shower made for 2.....

Deck 10

Nothing on here exept ocean view/ balcony cabins, and inside cabins.

Deck 9

We were based on this deck, our cabin was outside ocean view with a balcony. Size wise it was about 200 Sq Ft, I think, I'm not too good on sizes. A fridge, a safe a sofa bed as well as twin beds, ensuiote facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and a T.V.
There is also an internet cafe, so if you visit this ship you won't miss your regular fix of H.T.

Deck 8

Mainly cabins plus the Salsa, I can't comment on this because we didn't make it as far as this.

Deck 7

Galleria shops, couldn't go in as the shops weren't open due to being in port. The Pearly Kings Pub, great bar, styled on a traditional english pub, Need I say more????
Grand Atrium, with main reception, and shore excursion desk.
Gift shop, again closed.
Bamboo restaurant, Teppanyaki Room, Sushi and Sake Bar- these were all together and are a mixture of Asian and Chinese food. Dazzles Lounge and nightclub. The longue is very laid back with regular entertainment. Can't comment on the nightclub, as again it was closed.
Photo Gallery, empty- at the time. Stardust theatre ( Balcony ), The show was called Bollywood and was fantastic. There was acrobatics, dancing and singing. It was of Broadway standard, with great special effects.

Deck 6

Venetian Main Restaurant - Can't make any comment as I didn't eat here. Aqua main rest - Al La Carte style, Impessions main rest - Al La Carte Style, Havana Club, (Cigar club), Le Bistro - French Rest, Wine Celler, again closed due to port restrictions. Champagne bar, I think that speaks for itsself. Dawn Club Casino again closed due to port restrictions but I did get a chance to have a look around and it has about 100 slot machines and all the general card tables and roulette wheel.
Bottom part of Stardust Theatre.

Decks 5 & 4

Nothing on these except cabins.

There are 3 different areas of elevators, each 1 has about 4 lifts. Some are glass lifts and over look the Atrium.

I hope that this has given you an idea about this stunning ship. If you get the chance I'd strongly advise visiting it.

I can't wait to go again.

Sandi

Just a note so that I don't get in any trouble re copyright.
