At Chateau Mygo in Marigot Bay St. Lucia, finally got some decent internet
22 Dec. 2011
After breakfast on board we headed to shore in Port Elizabeth and hired a taxi for a tour of the island, we were quoted a very good price of $30 US per hour for six of us. The driver took us to all the sights and best viewing points around the island, while at the same time avoiding the many taxis of day trippers that arrived by ferry.

Afterwards we had lunch at a local restaurant, that we visited last year ( but still can’t remember the name). Most of us opted for the tuna salad, romaine lettuce with tomatoe and cukes, pieces of grilled tuna and a great ceasar dressing (20 EC). Tony chose the chicken roti (15 EC), a nice size roti on a handmade wrap served with a side salad. Tony and I headed over to Lower Bay for a drink at Jacks and to upload my trip reports. The water was a little rough from the swell so we didn’t swim, but sat on the beach and bought a few beers from one of the vendors. We stopped for dinner at another local place, chicken and fries for me fish and fries for Tony. The chicken was good but nothing special, however Tony’s barracuda fillet was nicely breaded and fried, the fresh meat having a mild flavor. The remainder of the evening was spent bar hopping along the waterfront with the highlight being the music at a local holiday celebration. We took a water taxi back to Skyelark around 11:00 and spent some time in the cockpit enjoying Chairmens Reserve rum and looking at the star filled sky.
