We had rented from Saint Martin Rentals or Island Immo for 5 years prior to Irma. Lydia Gumbs managed several properties on the island but we had always rented on the French side in the Orient Village. We had communication with them until December and then they went silent. We managed to get our deposit back from Mastercard relatively easily. Curious if anyone has any information on Lydia and if she is back in business.

We were in St Martin in Feb and spoke to Lydia and she is still in business.
She managed to return deposits made for rentals after Irma and now is waiting for the properties to be repaired.
Also, some properties she handles are now being rented to local residents who are repairing their homes.
She commented that she probably would have a better idea of what properties are available for the fall and winter of 2018/19 for rent by Aug 2018.
Just keep in touch with her. She will respond when she knows more info.
