The Inspectorate of Public Health, Social Development and Labor has found and ordered the destruction of eggs that may be contaminated with the Salmonella bacteria and that were found in various markets on the local market... https://www.facebook.com/SXMGOV/pho...354761848028480/1002312889940036/?type=3

If you are really worried about the eggs you have, wash them and don't eat them raw or drink them in your beer.

Same recall, here in Florida at Publix.. Honestly, I think that REAL farm fresh eggs would have a better chance of salmonella than ones you get at the store..

Elaine, is the farm on the same road that goes to where the My Island Ram fest is held in July?

Not sure why farm fresh eggs might have more chance of being contaminated. We have laying hens and do not wash them until it is time to use them. Eggs naturally come with a protective coating from the hen, called the bloom, and is washed off eggs that you buy in the supermarket. The porous shell is then much more easily contaminated, as opposed to farm fresh eggs.
