For all of our friends including us who frequently go out of Fort Lauderdale on our cruises, and if it hasn't been posted here before, especially on Sat/Sun around 4:00 pm if you log into portevergladeswebcam.com you can see with HD Cameras the ships leaving the port., etc. For us who didn't travel either to SXM or a Cruise this year it helps a little with the pain.

On Cruise Critic Holland America BB the member have a running commentary of the ship departures they are watching on the web cam. It is kind of fun to look at if you are going to go on the ship the next time it goes out. Delray

Do you have any suggestions on where to stay before you go on a cruise out of Ft. L?? We are going in Feb. and need a hotel for the night before the cruise. So looking to find a hotel that will take us to the port for our cruise the next day. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you

We have stayed at Amerisuites and they provide transportation to the cruise terminal. There are several restaurants within walking distance too.

I'm not sure about that, but if you contact them, they will give you that information. We were very pleased with the hotel and the location was close to several restaurants.

I have stayed at both the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 and the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina. In fact, I'm staying at the latter later this month the nights before and after my next cruise. They clearly are not the least expensive you can get, but they are close to the port and have nice views of the marina. When I was at the Hilton last year, there was a van which took guests to the various piers, and I think it was around $6-8 PP. I can't remember if Pier 66 had the same thing or not. Both have multiple restaurants on the property.
