Can anyone tell us the status of Calmos Café? I haven't seen any report on their rebuilding status? Will it be back in service by this November/December 2018? We always love sitting there, with a burger and wine, watching the sun set.

Unfortunately we did not drive down on that end. But basically there is very little open in Grand Case. And the main drag is, let us say you go very slow. Until it is repaved you drive slow our lose your car.
At the turn a Bistrot anyway -- it appears you have Bistrot, Auberge Gourmande, LeVilla, Piazza Pascal and Rainbow along that section. Basically nothing on the waterside with the exception of Rainbow. Looking right from that corner, nothing on the waterside is even in the realm of possibility until you get to the lolos. There was one little bar, on the land side, open for the soccer, but do not know the name.
From reports, Spiga is open, but we did not drive that end.
Not saying at all that the food from what is open would not be fantastic as always, but it you are expecting the many, many, many restaurants on both sides of the street, that is not going to happen for a while, so go and enjoy the ones that are there.
Drove there again today to make sure that our memories were correct.

Funny thing, I am sitting here in my Calamos Cafe tee shirt and just read this. I haven't been able to find anything on line about status. I have seen that they are doing a lot of work on electric and other services on the main road so maybe everyone is waiting on that to wrap up before rebuilding. Have to agree no place like it, C'est la vie!

Right now, I'm sure a lot of people don't want to deal with that street! It's like the dark side of the moon!
