Day 19

Woke up to strong winds and decided to stay away from Orient. We started the day off by visiting Coralita Beach and walking through the water to the small islands. We watched the kite surfers for a little while and then headed over to Ma Dou Dou. We were impressed with ourselves that we finally found it and figured out how to get into the gate We did some tasting and shopping, then stopped back at our beach cottage with our purchases. We spent the afternoon at Cupecoy, where we had never been before. We loved it there and couldn't figure out why it has taken us so long to go there! It will definitely be one of our favorite spots in future trips

That evening, we had friends over for happy hour and the sunset. We all walked down to the Brasserie for dinner, where Mike got another pizza (his favorite place, he was addicted to them!) We all enjoyed our meals (can't remember now what the rest of us ate :), and enjoyed rum shots after dinner. I met some of the Gendarmes and took a picture for my girlfriends back home (you have to admit they are an attractive bunch!)

Day 20

We went on Tiko Tiko today which turned out to be a big mistake for me, as I had too many rum shots the night before and the seas were VERY rough I don't usually get seasick but definitely suffered through the day. Philipe was great and took care of those of us who weren't feeling too hot. Other than the wind, it was a sunny day and the scenery was beatiful. We were served a wonderful lunch (which I couldn't eat lol) along with dessert and rum shots (which of course I didn't drink). We met some very nice people and had a great day overall (I finally felt better after we stopped for lunch).
We love Tiko Tiko and can't wait to go back, thanks Philipe and Lee

That night was spent quietly at home with a Calmo's burger and early to bed.

Day 21

We got up, got packed, and spent some time saying goodbye to friends We drove into Maho where we did a little shopping and said goodbye to the beach for another year We dropped off the car to Angela at the airport(No problems at all with our rental, would definitely rent from Horizon again!) and waited for our plane. Once in Charlotte, we were held on the plane because Customs was full. By the time we got through Customs, we literally had to sprint to catch our flight and just BARELY made it. Of course, once we got to Chicago, we learned one bag made it on the plane and one bag did not.

We were home safe in bed by 2:00 a.m. The next day, we retrieved our second bag from our own airport in Moline, and learned that it had been inspected at Charlotte and that was the reason it didn't make the flight.

Anyway, had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to go back. I will be posting some pictures soon along with an overview of our trip
