Okay, this may start a brouhaha, but...

Bareboat charter, in May, arriving Jost early afternoon, leaving next morning. Where would you moor/anchor and what restaurant/bar would you visit (and, of course, why)?

Thanks!

I prefer White Bay but you have to have perfect weather conditions and some charter companies do not allow overnights.

If you want more of a party scene, moor in Great Harbor and have dinner at Foxy's. If you want something quieter, I would go to Little Harbor. Several good options for dinner with a real local feel there.

Great Harbor is my favorite in May. Lots of factors involved, weather being the main concern. Planning now is fun, but you have to be flexible. Foxy's is a must visit for drinks, but Corsairs is a great option for dinner.

Good holding in Great Harbor with a water/fuel/ice stop, and we really enjoy dinner at Foxy's. I prefer to go to White Bay after the blaring stereo day boats are gone.

I'd like to be a jelly fish, cause jelly fish don't pay rent.

White Bay is "Spring Break For Adults". But after 4pm is very quiet and doesn't get crazy again until after 10am. Great Harbor has more to offer for evening food and fun and as Scurvy D said, water/ice/fuel. Corsairs pizza is amazing. Foxy's bbq is very good. Have a great time!

Go Irish!!

i'll put in a vote for Abe's in Little Harbour. The lobster we had last month was delicious and the folks there are great. Little Harbour is a very nice quiet anchorage. You can taxi to the other locations but I suspect the fares would be rather steep.

I love White Bay, but some nights there are no dinner options. I would spend the afternoon at White Bay, then move over to Great Harbor and have a traditional West Indie dinner at Ali Baba's or perhaps move to Little Harbor, if Harris' is open, Cynthia is a riot! She makes great lobster and fish dishes too.

Grab a ball in Great Harbor, taxi to beach bar crawl at White Bay, dinner at Corsairs followed by drinks/dancing/karaoke whatever is going on at Foxys.

Our last trip in June, we grabbed a ball in Great Harbor, dinghy-ed over to White Bay to hang out at Soggy, the place was rocking. Spent night in Great Harbor, doing dinner at Foxy's and dancing afterwards. Next day we sailed and then grabbed a ball in Diamond Cay by B Line. Grabbed a cold beer at B line, snorkeled around , did dinner onboard and spend the night there. Very quiet and relaxing.

Another vote for picking up a ball in Great Harbour, dinghy over to White Bay (if weather supports it) then either dinner ashore at Foxy's/Corsairs...or if you want to enjoy the 'best seat in the house' get takeaway from any of the establishments and enjoy back on your yacht with a fridge full of painkillers!

We found that post-irma, everywhere we visited was more than happy to let us takeaway anything on their menu! Perfect if, like us, you like to be up before dawn and pack as much as possible into the day...rather than party until the early hours.

We have stayed in Great Harbor for 11 years and hoping to get back there in January 2019. We have stayed at Seacrest which totally
worked for us. Taxi over for the the day to White Bay and back to Great Harbor for the night. We have not been able to
get any info from Seacrest to see if they will be able to have guests in January, does anyone know any info on Seacrest? Also, wondering
about ferry(s) over from St. Thomas. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We talked to Cynthia in May. She is rebuilding but slowly. In May she was assembling a small wooden building to use as a kitchen and pantry. In May she was just working weekends, and just her and her honey.

She was in good spirits and definitely still talking like the old Cynthia.

I remember seeing a facebook post that said she hoped to be open when the season started back up this fall.
