Decided to take a quick last minute trip after not having been on the island for a couple of years. Had great weather and a great time. We stayed at Karibuni Lodge at Cul de sac. It was very nice and will definitely repeat. It is owned by the same folks who own karibuni restaurant on pinel island. It is small but very upscale and very secure. They serve a wonderful breakfast brought to your room each morning and we ate by our private pool looking out at the great view of pinel.
Had incredible meals at Ti Bouchon, Sol e Luna, Le Pressoir, and Cote Plages. It would be hard to pick which was best but probably Le Pressoir by an eyelash. They have a lobster dinner that included lobster bisque, lobster ravioli, and a lobster tail for the main course.
Spent days on the beaches at Baie Rouge, Orient, Anse Marcel, and Pinel. Ribs and beer on the beach are hard to beat. Also, the tiki hut bar at Anse Marcel is great. Rachis is an artist and cocktails are his medium.
Rented a car from Michel at Banana Location. He was super to deal with. Had great weather and the trip was fabulous but just too short!
