Potter's By the Sea for traditional torchwood grilled lobster.

Wonky Dog for other "gourmet" preparations.

I love the lobster fettuccine at Potters, it is so good! Making me hungry thinking about it.

Wonky Dog top of our "to do" list for our trip first week of February, As a caution, be hungry if you order a whole lobster. On our last trip, our party of 4 each ordered the full lobster. Our lobster Caesar Salad the following evening using the more than ample leftovers made for a delightful meal.

You'll get many opinions. So I'll chime in as well. We like Anegada Reef Hotel and Potter's.

We ended up eating at Potters by the sea. We enjoyed when Singing Sam came to our boat when we anchored to invite us to his restaurant. He had a entertaining skit that won our vote. It was an amazing lobster. My daughter had the chicken fettuccine which was good also. It was the best meal we have had on all the islands. We will have to try the others on our next trip. Thank you for the help

Die hard Wonky Dog-er here. I am not a lobster fan but the lamb shank is the best I've ever had anywhere..and friends who love lobster rave about it there.

Seems like there are many choices, and they all are great.

We had reserved our lobster dinner earlier in the day, and what size that we each wanted. This was at the Anageda Hotel right there at the dinghy dock. They had a cage full of live lobsters that was secured to the dock. You walk past your dinner on the way back to the boat after enjoying the beach and a beach bar cool down. Went back ashore that evening, with reservations and everything went smooth and easy...

We ate outside on the beach at the Anageda Hotel , and Erica, who is an absolute whacked out lobster radical.... went ballistic.....She pronounced this was the " No contest, best lobster that she had ever had, any place, any time." . She still goes crazy when recalling those Anegada Lobster Dinner Sea Stories to who ever will listen.

OK, Erica, but I think that many of the beach front restaurants probably cook and present their lobster dinner along the same lines and they are all outstanding.

When, we lived on Kauai Island ( 10 yrs )..., on the Kauai Trip Advisor Forum, many posters wanted to know the BEST THIS and THE BEST THAT. Fact was, generally there were several that were the best. Probably the same for lobster on Anageda.

After 28 years and some 40 lobster dinners on Anegada, I don't recall ever having a bad lobster dinner. This has included Potters, Wonky Dog, Anegada Reef Hotel, Neptunes, and Whispering Pines. I finally tried The Lobster Trap in June and returned again in November. The crew had unanimous praise for the grilled lobster and the grilled fish offerings, and their service was excellent.

Looked like Whispering Pines was still rebuilding as of late November.

I saw Barry today, he advised that the insurance company has not paid the claim and accordingly construction has not yet started.

Also, the upstairs at the wonky dog is almost done.

The lobster trap is now being run by the Anegada Beach Club. Last year it was our best meal. Two years ago we had a disappointing meal at Wonky so we have not been back. Potter's lobster fettuccine is amazing.
