Having spent ten days on SXM in early March we spent more than a few days on Happy Bay. We left just before the 5 days of "Concerts" began. Having not been impressed with what the promoters did to the area behind the beach, I'm now wondering did they clean up there mess. If so, to what extent. Thanks, in advance to the responses>

Just curious ... what exactly did they do? About a month ago I was on Happy Bay Beach and heard them working in the distance, but I couldn't really see anything through the trees. I figured they were working on storm-damaged condos off in the distance or something like that. Are there any pictures you can share with us?

I'm also curious, never been to Happy Bay but planned on making it one of our go to spots in July since it's close to where we're staying. Also, side question, is all of Happy Bay "unofficially CO"? Kinda looking forward to the CO part most of all lol.

Yes, unofficially C/O. If you decide to go with that theme, best to keep to the western (left) side of the beach IMO. Although the entire beach is typically quiet during the week, that area is little more secluded and has some larger rock formations that lend more towards a clothing-optional approach.

Central Florida!
Have no idea about this year. Last year, they cleaned up everything completely after the music festival. Hopefully someone will chime in with a report after the festival for this year.
