Anyone know of the shopping situation here? We will be down before long, and wondering if there are grocery stores for food and beer. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I'd like to be a jelly fish, cause jelly fish don't pay rent.

Since no one has answered with direct knowledge, I will suggest that you might want to do a web search for "Mapchick." They do a good job and show restaurants stores etc. They have maps from Holbox to Tulum. I've owned property in Playa for twenty years and still find their maps useful. Tim

There are Mini Super stores, several produce markets, a few Oxxo and maybe one 7-11. Didn't see a Chedraui or anything big.
