La Playa has announced on Facebook that they will be opening July 1. They don't say whether they are referring to beach bar only or hotel also.

Looks like we will miss it, but I do hope they are able to open by then. I wish Bruno well.

The La Playa hotel and beach restaurant are opening on the 1st of July. Their website has it all posted on their home page. La Playa Hotel - Homepage

We walked around it on our trip last month and it looked like there was still a lot of work to be done. Great to hear it is reopening soon. We have so many great memories from La Playa!!!!

Hard to believe they will open by that date. So much more to do at present and they seem to be on island time!

It seems like many or most places are not able to open by their projected date. When you say that you don't think they will be able to open by then, do you mean the hotel or the restaurant or both?
