Ok .... so we're sitting here on Sunday morning dreaming of BVI and my wife is watching Youtube video's of Smuggler's Cover and wants to fit it into an itinerary. Is it someplace we can access with a cat? Can we anchor near it and dinghy over? Or is the only access by cab from Sopers or Cane Garden Bay?

Any thoughts on working it into the loop or even if it's worth the diversion?

Always looking for new spots to work into the trips.

I'm trying to decide if I should go next Saturday. My plan was to go there, see how deep it is outside the reef and then decide.

I have anchored there inside the reef with a centerboard monohull - 3.5ft draw - But Mobile Bob [RIP] stood on the beach and guided me in.
It was good fun back when he was the host - no idea what it is like now.

It is do able if you can thread through the reef SLOWLY..pretty sure its redlined by charter companies but it sounds like you have your own boat. It might be a lot less stressful to cab over from Soper's..

We stopped for lunch there back in the day before it was redlined. You needed to go when sun was high and you could see the reef. Once you were inside the holding was great. We never over nighted there and haven't done it in at least 10 years. But the memories are great!
