I was just wondering if anyone knew of another charter company in the BVI similar to the Moorings? We like the Moorings base with a hotel, store, restaurant, bar and pool (we have kids :>). We've been sailing in the BVI since 1983 exculsively with the Moorings/Footloose and used to enjoy it but our last couple trips with them seem to be less customer care.

There are many companies and we all have our favorites.

The Moorings is the largest with the most amenities.

You might start your search by looking at TTOL sponsors.

Any of the companies located at Nanny Cay, Horizon Yacht Charters for sail, Virgin Traders for Power. Nanny Cay is a great spot for a start.

+1 for Nanny Cay with kids. There's a pool, beach and restaurants. The fuel dock is right there. Rob Swan Sailing School charters boats too.

We went with Voyage Charters a few years ago, and I thought they were great. They sail from Sopers Hole.

I would start by looking for a broker--typically they have relationships with several owners with a variety of boats both sail and power at their disposal. Liane at Bareboats BVI is a lady that we would use again and we chartered 21 boats from her.
