We are at Divi and there is a fire on very top of the hill by Belair. Hope everyone is safe and we get a shower soon to help control it. Amazing how quiet the beach got.

Hope it gets under control soon. Is the island still very brown? It was very brown when we were there in June.

Fire truck arrived promptly and we see a lot of white smoke which is a good thing! Great response by the St. Maarten fire department!

When I was there in June, I was surprised there weren't more fires due to how dry the island is. Tragedy waiting to happen . . . .
