Staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort in August. Wondering what good restaurants are recommended in the area. Any we should avoid?

Metropol for good and reasonably priced Cuban/Puerto Rican food. It is across the road from the Ritz. I also like Brother Jimmy's at the top of the El San Juan. While not traditional PR fare, it's a fun BBQ joint that has a nice view - not to mention a mechanical bull that you can ride (at least last time we were there). There are several other options, those are just two that I have eaten at before.
