A lot going on at Hong Kong right now with travel advisories and even at the airport, so you have to way the issues/risks.
But airfare is free, well almost.
Checking Kayak from LAX for 2 weeks in November 12-26, nonstop round trips from $408 on Hong Kong Air, $614 on American Airlines, $634 on Cathay Pacific. I bet top hotels are cheap too.
From SFO, $490 round trip nonstop on United
Same is true if you check two weeks starting sep 17 or two weeks starting in May.
They get more expensive as you head east coast of USA
Week at the Hyatt $700-1000.
Not saying folks should go, just saying it is cheap
