Capn Dar and crew sailed from CYOA (St Thomas) on a new 40 ft cat. Love chartering through these folks - AND COST U LESS IS RE-OPENED! Great shopping for essentials. We rent from Avis and return to seaplane base right next to charter base.

We had a good weather week (maybe best ever). Wind blew 13-20 k it’s each day, sun, rained twice a day (once at night)

Highs - the people- our friends at CYOA, at leverick bay and Jost were awesome; good sailing and at this time of year-no crowds. There are people but not overwhelming numbers. Moorings available! (Please note seems that many are marked with spray paint -for
Maintenance?). Many missing the pendant After extensive field work, and with Saba no re opened yet, Soggy dollar makes the best pain killer and conch fritters, sugar/spice snack shack has great pate’ CBP ROAM app is fantastic. Also a plus- Checked into the US via app in 30 min time and never left the boat!

Lows- see usvi post on hook line and sinker. Also-
Coral is really without color in many areas. Browned and bleached out. Seems like fewer colorful fish than In the past....Saba Rock not opened yet, but progress is being made. Same for Sopers Hole west end-
Long way to go there. Fees getting into the BVI seem higher every years. Finally- Unable to get to anegada - seas a little rough this year

All in all a great trip and we definitely prefer chartering from CYOA In st Thomas
