Our boat is in Bermuda with a planned departure of November 25th to head to the BVI. Looking for at least one additional crew. This is on a Beneteau Oceanis 43. If you want to get offshore experience and build your sea time this is a great opportunity. If interested, please contact Gina - sail@swainsailing.com

Thanks!

You can contact offshore passage opportunities. Hank May help.

Would love to but alas, family, job, etc... A little more notice and I could of made this work. Curious though how long is the sail from Bermuda to BVI?

The 25th is only three days away...the airfare only will kill anyone at this time of year! Hope you find crew! My husband would have loved to do this with more notice!

Yeah, we're going to cover travel expenses. Wish we had more notice, but an issue caused the initial crew to have to return to BVI for a repair and then that delayed things where they couldn't stay. Wish I had the time to go as well. Too much else going on though.

Trip takes about a week.

Try and get a crew company and wait for a for a weather window and have them come down.
On a Beneteau Oceania you have to make sure your not Slamming to weather to much because it’s a fast boat and tends to slam going to weather in high winds and seas.

Sorry i have not been on the last few days but this would have been a no brainer. Just pulled the latest GRIBs and ran a quick routing. Departing Town Cut afternoon on the 25th it will be a 4 and a half day run. Maybe 16 hours motoring the first day then beam reach in 12-16 kn gradually changing to 15-18 kn off the port quarter and finish into JVD on a dead run in 12 kn. Could not ask for a better sail.

This is the second year the trip has been made and the last (at least while we own her). On the past trips both from BVI to RI and the return trip it has been done as an offshore course. It just didn't work out that way this year and we're pretty much hands off as we don't have time to manage it.

Fortunately we did get a crew put together so they'll depart Tuesday morning.
